Gullane Masters 2010 Exhibition
27th March – 11th April (Preview night – Friday 26th March 6.30pm – 9.30pm – Invitation only – apply to Gallery)
Our first major exhibition of the year, “The Gullane Masters 2010” features a mixed show by 12 carefully selected artists all chosen to ensure a high quality exhibition with a wide variety of style and subject matter. Planning has been in place for some 6 months and a blend of artists, both proven gallery favourites and new artists to the gallery, will be involved.
New to the Gallery are Catriona Campbell, Claire Harrigan RSW, Joe McIntyre, and Sandy Murphy RSW. All four are very established and accomplished painters with strong followings of collectors and with successful exhibition track records in London and throughout the UK.
They are joined by Gallery favourites Stephen J Carruthers, Matt Curtis, Marion Drummond, Jack Morrocco, and Helen Turner PAI PPAI, all of whom are submitting new work for the show.
And last, but certainly not least, we welcome back to the Gallery for their second showing with us, Aine Divine the established portrait painter from the Rolf Harris BBC TV programme “Star Portraits”, who will be showing some of her non portrait work; Brenda Lenaghan RSW who’s unique style and subject matter commands significant following; and the wonderful Joan Renton RSW who is slowly but surely returning to the Scottish exhibition scene after a much too lengthy break away from the easel.
All in all, we are confident the show will meet and exceed the already high standards established in our major exhibitions, and we look forward to seeing the Gallery walls when all the work arrives.
12th April onwards
The 2010 year planner is now full and arrangements well underway for quality shows interspersed with rolling exhibitions featuring our regular gallery artists.
Future highlights include June with featured artist being George Birrell; followed by “The Summer Exhibition” comprising new work by 8 of Scotland’s most prominent artists including Chris Bushe RSW, Pam Carter, Ann Oram RSW, Nael Hanna, and Jolomo; August has as featured artist Mary Davidson, who’s floral still life pieces are simply stunning and never last long in the Gallery; and in October we are very privileged to announce Scotland’s only 2010 solo show by the highly acclaimed Jack Morrocco who will be using this occasion not only to exhibit his latest collection including a number of “statement” pieces, but also to launch 2 unique profile raising projects which are still very much under wraps!
A busy and high quality schedule with much to look forward to.
